    How does GPHS select Caregivers? what screening tools do you use prior to assigning a caregiver?

    We review applications on a weekly basis. We have a 2 phase screening process

    Phase 1
    1)applicant reviewed (look for experience with providing care)
    2) Work and personal refences are checked
    3)Interview with Director and Personal Care Service Manager

    Phase 2
    1) Complete Company orientation
    2) 40 hour Training Curriculum
    3) CPR certification
    3) Criminal Background Check
    4) Nurse Aide Registry Check
    5) Office of Inspector General Check

    Is GPHS insured and bonded?
    Yes! GPHS is insured and bonded.

    Are your caregivers licensed?
    Some caregivers are licensed as CNA (certified nursing aide) while others are not. Regardless of licensure all caregivers must pass all screenings and are required to complete company orientation as well as a 40 hour course mandated by the Division of Medicaid. Our caregivers are also require to complete annual training and attend monthly training in-services. Most of our caregivers have many years experience providing personal care services

    What insurance do you take:?
    We take all payer sources! Personal Care Services is a non medical support service. These services can be covered under long term care policy and waiver programs such as the elderly and disabled waiver or the VA aide and attendant waiver.

    Our caregivers are… "Trained individuals who provide non-medical support services in the client’s homes. Our Personal Care Attendants perform duties that include personal care and light home management tasks that follow the provider service plan. Our Personal Care Attendants offer compassionate, reliable, and experienced care to all our clients."
